Brian Phelps, a Canton, CT native, joined the Golf Club of Avon team in April 2018. As Director of Instruction & Player Development, Brian will leads our coaching and player development programs. With a strong passion for Junior Golf and Player Development, Brian is committed to becoming a part of the strong traditions of the professional staff at the Golf Club of Avon.

Brian attended Coastal Carolina University where he was a part of the Professional Golf Management Program. He is a Class A PGA Professional Certified in Teaching and Coaching and Player Development. Brian's past work experience includes Firestone Country Club, The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, and almost 10 years of working in the golf business in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Brian also worked as a Sales Representative for Dunning Golf in several southern states and as a Teaching Professional at GOLFTEC in West Hartford.
